Turnkey vs Land & Build

House and Land

There are two main options when it comes to purchasing a house and land package. The first option is to buy the land from a developer and then purchase a home from a builder of your choice. The upside of this is that you get a personalised house design by working with your own builder.

Turnkey Fixed Price

A fixed price for land and house construction is another option. You pay one upfront price and there are no unexpected costs. Most packages include set inclusions for example stainless appliances to stone top counters, blinds and even driveways. All inclusions are set out in detail and some packages even allow additional upgrades.

There are many upsides to a fixed price house and land packages such as saving on stamp duty, choosing a customised design to fit your choice of land, getting a brand-new house with all the mod cons, and if  your buying as an investment a new home is more appealing to tenants.

Both processes require two separate contracts one for both land and construction. However, with separate house and land you will pay a builder as the stages go along.  House and land packages and turnkey fixed price are some of the most efficient and cost-effective choices when looking to purchase a home.
